CNSR 30-Second State Scan
CNSR 30-Second State Scan
A 30-second check-in with your nervous system. Twelve simple questions reveal whether your body is currently in a state of regulation, activation, or depletion — with no diagnosis, no labels, just an honest reading of where you are right now.
What This Tool Does?
The CNSR 30-Second State Scan is a short self-observation exercise rooted in the science of the nervous system. Most of us go through entire days reacting on autopilot — tense, rushed, or shut down — without ever pausing to notice it. This tool creates that pause.
Through twelve brief observations covering your breath, posture, thoughts, energy, and sense of safety, the scan reads the present state of your nervous system and places it into one of three categories:
Your system has capacity for connection, focus, and growth.
Your system is on alert and would benefit from calming regulation.
Your system has withdrawn for protection and needs gentle reactivation.
Once your state is identified, the tool offers a small set of practical, body-based recommendations matched to exactly where you are — nothing generic, nothing performative. This is the first observation step in the CNSR Method: Observe, Regulate, Stabilize, Evolve. You cannot regulate what you have not first observed.
How to Use This Tool
1. Find a quiet moment. Take this scan when you can give it your honest attention — not while distracted or multitasking. A few seconds of stillness before you begin will make your answers more accurate.
2. Press “Begin Scan.” This starts the assessment and brings up the first of twelve short questions.
3. Answer each question as it comes. Each question asks about one part of your present experience — your breath, your posture, your thoughts, your energy. Choose the option that feels closest to true right now, not how you usually feel or how you wish you felt.
4. Select one of three responses. Every question offers three honest options — calm and steady, somewhat noticeable, or clearly activated or strained. There are no right or wrong answers, only accurate ones.
5. Move through all twelve questions. The progress bar at the top shows how far along you are. You can go back to a previous question at any time using the back arrow.
6. View your result. Once all twelve questions are answered, your nervous system state appears instantly — along with a visual gauge, your score, and a breakdown of your responses.
7. Read your recommendations. Below your result, you will find a short list of practices suited to your current state — simple, doable actions, not a long program.
8. Save, share, or retake. You may download your result as a PDF, share it directly, or retake the scan whenever you want to check in again. No data leaves your device — your results stay private to you.
